Farewell party!

Last Friday we had a double farewell party in our lab. Our friends Tania e Mara Rúbia are going to leave us in a couple of days...

Tania is returning to Cuba, after 11 months working with us. Her research here was focused on the use of zeolites in anaerobic treatment of slaughterhouse wastewater. We wish you all the best, Tania! The doors of our lab are always open to you!

Mara Rúbia is going to defend her PhD thesis on next Thursday (September, 24th). After her defense, Mara is going directly to the airport to get a flight to Italy. She will work on a post-doctorate research at the University of Pisa, under supervision of Professor Giulio Petroni, as part of the CARBALA Project (CARBon BALAncing for nutrient control in wastewater treatment). Mara, besides your research development, the time that you will spend in Pisa will be, for sure, very important for your personal progress! We will miss your companionship and your happiness in LPB!
