Hello guys,

Do you remember our sulfur cycle workshop that would happen in early July?!

Well,  we hope everyone enjoyed,  learned a little more and seized the opportunity to establish networks.

We were happy to see so many people of differents groups participating and some wining their own limits.
There were two  days of professional and personal growth.

The organizing committee thanks everyone and hope see you soon in a next opportunity to talk about science and the technological challenges!!

Research frontiers in sulfur cycle (July 3rd and 4th)

Hello guys, how are you?

Don’t you think this blog has been in standing by for a long time?! We do!!

Are you already aware of the upcoming event that will happen at LPB? No?? So let's update you!!!

On July 3rd and 4th 2018, the workshop "Research frontiers in sulfur cycle" will be placed here in the amphitheater of Environmental Engineering, at USP São Carlos, and will be attended by the renowned Prof. Dr. Piet Lens and colleagues from the sulfur cycle and associated biotechnology. And how about learning and/or improving your knowledge ?! Have you thought about how to recover elemental sulfur? And recover metals?

Participate with us, be part of our discussions, it will be a pleasure to share more this moment together!!

LPB in the 14th World Congress on Anaerobic Digestion (AD14)

Professors, researchers and former researchers from LPB  had attended to the 14th World Congress on Anaerobic Digestion (AD14) placed in Viña del Mar, Chile!

It was a time to present our projects, to share ideias, to establish networks and to discuss about the current state of anaerobic digestion processes around the world! And moreover, to debate about future paths for assuring a more sustainable environment!

To finish the works and celebrate these meeting, the researchers attended to the gala dinner offered by AD14 in a winery.

Farewell party!

Last Friday we had a double farewell party in our lab. Our friends Tania e Mara Rúbia are going to leave us in a couple of days...

Tania is returning to Cuba, after 11 months working with us. Her research here was focused on the use of zeolites in anaerobic treatment of slaughterhouse wastewater. We wish you all the best, Tania! The doors of our lab are always open to you!

Mara Rúbia is going to defend her PhD thesis on next Thursday (September, 24th). After her defense, Mara is going directly to the airport to get a flight to Italy. She will work on a post-doctorate research at the University of Pisa, under supervision of Professor Giulio Petroni, as part of the CARBALA Project (CARBon BALAncing for nutrient control in wastewater treatment). Mara, besides your research development, the time that you will spend in Pisa will be, for sure, very important for your personal progress! We will miss your companionship and your happiness in LPB!
