The Biological Processes Laboratory (LPB) is part of the Department of Hydraulics and Sanitation (SHS) of the São Carlos School of Engineering (EESC) / University of São Paulo (USP), Brazil. Our researches focus on biological treatment processes for wastewater (domestic and industrial) and other residues, with emphasis on the development and study of new configurations of biological reactors and the understanding of fundamental aspects of biological treatment processes.
The LPB receives students from the Hydraulic and Sanitary Engineering Graduate Program (EESC/USP), MSc and PhD degrees, as well as students coming from the undergraduate courses of the EESC. Researchers from other Brazilian and international universities also perform part of their works at the LPB, and are welcome to be part of our team.
